Hello everyone and thank you for subscribing to my webpage. Today, I wanted to create a quick post explaining what you'll find on my site, so you know what to expect (especially for those that don't know me personally).
My name is Jared Grace and I currently live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I was born in and spent the first half of my life south of Boston in towns like Randolph, Bridgewater, and Taunton. I've spent much of my life writing but never saving anything, always thinking it stupid or not knowing where to go with it. Around 2018, while living in Manchester, New Hampshire, I decided to finally stick to something written. I went down to the public library, found myself a semi-quiet area so that I could focus, and wrote--what I thought--was an excellent five-page short story that I had tentatively called "The Monster in the Woods". At that time, I had just recently finished Cormac McCarthy's The Road and I modeled my two characters after that book by simply calling them "the man" and "the boy".
When I finished, I was quite proud of myself and, while a bit biased, I thought I had something that I could build out further. This is how I created Isolation, my debut horror novel. I thought it would be great to keep true to the original story that I had written so, when you read Isolation, chapter 35 is the original short story that I had written in the semi-quiet of the Manchester New Hampshire public library. The only thing that I changed was simply renaming the characters to Russell and Sam.
Certainly, you can all understand that I will give you updates on Isolation, my upcoming second novel Beyond the Autumn Leaves, and other future works on this blog. I am also happy to announce that I am working with a production company on feature-length movies, some I will be co-writing, some I will be solely writing. I will be sure to let you know when you can go to the theaters or stream these movies. Oh, and I will also be writing the novel for an upcoming film that is being screen written by some very talented people. As this one is not released or scheduled to be yet, I hesitate to say more about that project at the moment, but be aware, I will fill you all in when the time is right.
In the meantime, check out their first feature film Everwinter Night on Amazon Prime and Tubi, and be on the lookout this Halloween for their second feature-length film Round the Decay where you will be able to find me (as an extra, but for a 6'3 245-pound bearded bald guy, I'm pretty noticeable) and a copy of Isolation as well. Pretty cool, right?
If you've stuck with this blog this long, I assure you, I'm almost done. It's not all about my writing journey (though a fair share will be). I'd love to tell you more about my paranormal experiences (and there are many) that have shaped who I am and what I'm passionate about. Feel free to leave comments and we can have discussions on your own experiences, beliefs, etc. (but let's keep it all friendly, even if you disagree which is more than acceptable. Listen to understand, don't listen to respond). I'm also batting around the idea of having a "book club" type scenario where we can read together and discuss certain books (should you want to partake) but that is for a little bit down the road.
My intention is to post on a bi-weekly basis, though there is a chance I'll have a lot to say (if you can't tell from this post, I enjoy talking/writing) and may post a bit more often. In the first week or two of this site, I'll likely post a few times a week just to get you all interested.
Once more, thank you for subscribing, please tell your friends and family about my work and my site and ask them to subscribe, too. Happy reading, everyone. Goodnight.

Hi Jared! thanks for the update. I'm excited to follow along while you undertake your next adventure!
