Dreamscape Productions, Everwinter Night, and Round the Decay

As I've mentioned in the past either here or on my social media accounts (FB: Author Jared Grace, Instagram: paranormaljared TikTok: authorjaredg) I am associated with, in some small way--soon to be in a bigger way--with an independent film company called Dreamscape Productions. Honestly, and yes of course I'm a little biased, you should check out what they're doing. They may be small (for now), but they have big plans and are executing them very well.

Take for example last night. Dreamscape's first full length feature entitled Everwinter Night (released on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime in Februrary of 2024) was screening at the oldest movie theater in New Hampshire, The Peterborough Community Theatre. Now, of course, I had seen this by renting on Amazon previously, but I'll be honest, watching it on the big screen (like movies were intended) was a whole different experience. The small theatre was almost sold out and people genuinely seemed to really enjoy it. The comedy/horror film gave some solid laughs and even a few jump scares (which, for me, is always fun). You can check out the IMDB page here: Everwinter Night (2023) - IMDb

I'd be remiss if I didn't highlight a few of the standout actors in the movie that I highly recommend you follow. Firstly, Victoria Mirrer (Victoria Mirrer - IMDb) stars as V. I had the opportunity to work with her on Dreamscape's next film Round the Decay, which, if you follow me on those socials, you've definitely heard me talk about, and she's amazing. Her beauty, humor (on and off screen), and dedication to her roles are incredible. Honestly, even though I was only a mere extra in Round the Decay I was drawn to her acting. If and when Isolation ever becomes a film, I hope she's someone that could fill a role. Go to her page, follow it, and watch everything she's done!

Next, I have to talk about Jamie Dufault (Jamie Dufault - IMDb). He's another leading role in Everwinter Night and Round the Decay and let me tell you...this dude can act! He may be one of the top reasons I started exploring acting for the first time in my 40s. He's hilarious in Everwinter and his natural charisma permeates through the screen. Victoria and Jamie work perfectly together in Everwinter, making the movie (certainly their interactions) very relatable to the viewer. Again, check Jamie's page out and see what he's up to next.

Ok, I could go on and on about the actors, but I have to mention one more. Executive Producer and all-around funny man, Sean Ward. Sean's character Charlie seems to be the everyman in Everwinter. A large chunk of the comedy relief in this horror film comes from the lips of the man himself. This post is getting to be a bit long already so I'm going to keep Sean's flowers to a minimum, but he knows I love him. I'm super excited to get to work with in on further projects. Go get a good laugh with Sean and check out his page as well. (Sean T. Ward - IMDb)

Ok, if you've stuck with me this long, thank you. I'm almost done. Before the screening started last night, we were all treated to the first look at Round the Decay (releasing October 26, 2024) and it was even better than I thought. Now, unless you were at the screening you haven't seen it yet. The trailer will be released to the public on July 22nd; so, you don't have too long to wait. You'll see Victoria, Jamie, Sean, and definitely take note of Damian Maffei (Damian Maffei - IMDb The Strangers: Prey at Night; Haunt; Wrong Turn) and Melody Kay (Melody Kay - IMDb) who is one of my favorite people! Rachel Pizzolato (Rachel Pizzolato - IMDb) as the monster is just...terrifying. When the trailer releases see if you can spot your favorite bald, bearded writer in there as well.

Keep checking back for updates on my novels and soon-to-be movie works in progress. Stay spooky!
